We would like to invite you to attend the “International Symposium on International Symposium on
Global Change in the Mediterranean Region- Kaz Mountains (Mount Ida) and Edremit-” to be held
22-24 October 2010. The meeting is hosted by Edremit Municipality.
This symposium is organized to bring together academic scientists, from different countries to
meet and do discuss current research. The Symposium is broad in scientific scope, are open to
all academicians those interested, in the geography, history, culture, settlement, population,
tourism, ecosystems, climate, olive agriculture, ecology, mythology, vegetation, botany of
All papers presented at the symposium will be published in Symposium Proceeding Book. Call for
abstracts and papers are now open. Abstracts will be accepted until May 1, 2010. Abstracts of no

Please note that ALL APPROVED PARTICIPANTS from abroad will be accommodated at the

Submission and Registraiton: Please fill out the Registration Form and sent to:
Each session contains 15 minute presentations for specific topical perspective. Each session will
include oral presentations, discussions and posters. Coffee and light refreshments will be
provided for all delegates during the scientific sessions.
All papers presented at the symposium will be published in Symposium “Proceedings Book”.
Venue and Location
International Symposium on Kaz (Ida) Mountain and Edremit will be held at Sukru Tunar Culture
Center in Edremit town located on the Aegean Coast of Western Turkey.
The two excursions (Boat trip and Kaz Mountain Trip) will take place mid and after the
Symposium. Field trips are free for the delegates.
Free accommodation at the hotel will be provided for participants.
Free transportation will be provided to delegates to and from their accommodation and the
symposium venue or the venue of social events.
